From mother to maker: the story behind Mon Petit Chéri
Mon Petit Chéri was born in the quietest, most meaningful moments of motherhood — rocking my babies to sleep, folding their tiny clothes, remembering my own mother’s hands guiding fabric through a sewing machine, just as my grandmother once did.
Growing up, I was dressed in timeless, Spanish-inspired clothing that my mother lovingly chose and sometimes stitched herself. I didn't know it then, but those little dresses would one day shape the dreams I’d carry in my heart. When I became a mother to Charlotte and Maverick, I found myself longing for that same sweetness and charm — a way to preserve the magic of childhood just a little longer.
What began as a dream, tucked away between nap times and night feeds, slowly came to life — stitch by stitch, sketch by sketch. I envisioned a collection that felt nostalgic yet new, refined yet playful — pieces that celebrate tradition, motherhood, and the fleeting beauty of early childhood.
